I have often been asked, why VLACE?
How did you come up with the name?
And what is behind the name?
The story behind the naming is not particularly long or difficult. However, I thought it might be of interest to some people. I wrote down potential brand names for ideas and designed logos ages ago. Before registering the trademark for VLACE, I spent at least 3 months pondering what name to give my idea.
The ideas ranged from ice cream to glow, from mixed-up letters and numbers to my own name. Until one evening my boyfriend called me and said: "Why don't you call your idea VLACE!" The combination of my name (V)iola and the English term for shoelaces "shoe(lace)s" - VLACE. That convinced me immediately!
